CASA wants to overturn in-state tuition petition




And to think they are trying to reverse a decision to allow MD citizens to vote on this law, yet they are funded by MD tax payers. Unbelievable!!

Yeah, I'm not going to get into my stance on this but you better believe I should be able to vote on something I'm paying for...like our taxes aren't high enough. They are probably really worried about the people voting on this not sending it through.

Casa may have a point. If the law was passed as part of the budget and not as a separate bill it is exempt from petition.

If it was a separate bill they likely don't have a leg to stand on because any law, at any level from local to federal, has a budget impact of one sort or another.

I don't know about the internet piece, that will write new case law no matter what the decision.
