condo living in ocean city (Annapolis, Salisbury: rent, insurance, find a job)

Thinking about buying a condo in Ocean City. Just a though. Any help from you locals, I live in Annapolis and frequent Ocean City quite often, Usually around 28th at end of boardwalk and maybe a little further down, the though of actually living their is kind of new to me, but I really enjoy Ocean city even during the Winter months, any thoughs would be helpful. Price range to about 150k max. Am I dreaming?

There aren't many people there in the winter, you'll have to think about hurricane and flood insurance so be sure to take that into consideration. You could rent out your place for a few weeks over the summer and make some money while you go somewhere less busy! Lots of teens descend upon OC in early to late June after they graduate from high school.

It's very difficult to find a job there in the non tourist season. I'd enjoy living there too but employment is pretty bad there and nearby Salisbury and most of the Eastern Shore. You'll likely have to commute somewhere outside OC and it will likely be a nightmarish drive. If you have enough money to buy one and keep your current place, you can make some money off it renting it out in the summer and maybe giving yourself a bit of time alloted there.
