Yeah..Yeah!! I could have looked the statistics up myself, but wanted to make this fun and interactive?

For all my dataheads, techs, statisticians, city planners, and local lay persons...

Which city commands more tourist dollars in the region? And why?!

I would assume since D.C. is not in Maryland, that Baltimore would command the most tourist dollars in the state.

Ocean City would have that honor.

DC v. Baltimore for tourist dollars? You really have to ask this? Baltimore? Seriously?

DC. Men vs Boys when it comes to tourism between the two.

DC is one of the MAJOR tourist destinations in the country. I wouldn't be surprised if just the School field trips to DC were larger than Baltimore's total tourist traffic.

I too am curious as to why the question was asked

About 90% of the inquiries on the Reviews of Hotels, Flights and Vacation Rentals - TripAdvisor "Maryland Forum" are either about Baltimore or Ocean City.

Most of the remaining 10%, ask about Annapolis or the Eastern Shore.

I have been a regular responder on "Trip Advisor" forums for a few years now, and have answered over 1,200 inquiries about visiting DC, MD, and VA.
