Western and Shoreline Maryland equal Mississippi with good ole' southern attitude

Prince George and Baltimore City can be Georgia.

I don't think we are like any other state. VA is more southern and PA is more Northeastern where as we have it all. Just the perfect mix.

I grew up in New England, and then lived in PA (near Philly) for 4 years, then moved to Baltimore (Fed Hill) in 2006. I have to say that I have never experienced a city like Baltimore ever in my life. I also can't think of any other state that MD reminds me of other than South Jersey. Baltimore has some interesting characteristics, but overall it's dirty, dingy, trashy and ignorant. I can't wait to move out this hell hole.

Me too.
Trying to compare MD to any other state is a waste of time. Parts of MD is home to those that work for the federal government as is parts of NoVA. Most private corporations exist to support the federal government In some form. A lot of corporations are here for the plain fact people live here because of their employment.
No other state has Washington, DC hinged between it and another state to lend the all too familiar "federal" stamp upon it.
This region might best be compared to any of the two states with "sister cities". Take your pick.
Because of the general education of people that live in the DC metropolitan area, MD is too sophisticated to be a true "southern" state. Sure, we have WALMARTs and KMARTs but some of those southern states are flat and boring with no personality, not that MD has one to speak of.
