Does it matter to go to licensed auto mechanic vs not licensed ?
=================================================

Thanks for your replies to my threads.

What are the benefits to take the car to licensed auto mechanic?

Does the licensed auto mechanic has duty to fix the car correctly?

Does the licensed auto mechanic rip-off customers?

If yes, will it impact their license ?

Thanks for sharing.

No, I think they are talking someone who's licensed to do business vs a home hobbyist/shadetree type mechanic.

As for the questions:

What are the benefits to take the car to licensed auto mechanic?
Usually they have up to date tools and diagnostic equipment.

Does the licensed auto mechanic has duty to fix the car correctly?
They should, but usually they will merely try their best based on their knowledge and equipment.

Does the licensed auto mechanic rip-off customers?
A few will, especially if YOU are not knowledgeable.

If yes, will it impact their license ?
Not directly unless enough people complain about it and an investigation turns up criminal wrongdoing.
