Don't get mad at me. I just want 4 nights!

Visiting Annapolis this summer. Staying at the Graduate Hotel. I opted not to do a VRBO for reasons I will not bore you with.

I plan to walk. I can walk for many miles a day. I also plan to be back to the room by 8-9pm. But I read West St. Is not a great area.

I work downtown in a mid sized city and walk 3 miles on my lunch and encounter all sorts of folks. But I find smaller and mid sized cities get sketchy past working hours, 5pm. There are simply not enough folks around, especially mid-week, when I plan to stay. My city becomes somewhat desolate downtown past 5pm, unless you are in hip restaraunt and bar areas.

Just wondering if anyone would suggest a female walking solo down West St. At 8pm on a Tuesday to get to a hotel.
You should be fine. You're only a few steps from the Capital building and if you want a good walk go down to the water front. Like someone else said that should be a safe walk but a long one (up hill) on the way home.

At one point recently, Annapolis had more section 8 housing units that Baltimore. That info is dated, but I know it for a fact as I worked with those housing authorities. Even the tourist area is not what it used to be.
