Good Morning,

I am in my Early 20s and looking to live in Columbia. I would like to live in an area with people around my age and would prefer if there were some bars near (cost of living doesn't concern me). I would like some advice on the names of areas in Columbia that could fit my needs.

Thanks

It sounds like most of, if not all of, Columbia would fit your needs. Columbia is small enough that you can get to every place in its limits within about 15 minutes max, barring traffic. There are bars (chains and non-chains), restaurants (chains and non chains), big box stores, grocery stores, spread throughout Columbia and Ellicott City (neighboring city of Columbia). The best way to figure out if you like an area is to drive around and you can usually get a real feel. Also drive through Old Ellicott City (main street area).

politely disagree....if your heart is set on living in columbia then come...if your heart is set on living somewhere fun around like minded people then go to dc/baltimore where the young people live....columbia is a great city but unfortunately its caravans and families and chain restaurants for the nightlife...I found myself commuting to bmore/dc/nova on the weekends from columbia because I didn't know...

The nice thing about Columbia though is that you only have a 20/25 minute drive to Baltimore and a 35 minute drive to DC at night.

Columbia is not for you. It's a family-oriented town. You'll be happier to live closer to DC or Balto.
