Probably be best to stay right there in Natick or Framingham. No sense in subjecting yourself to rush hour traffic on the Pike or I95/128 when you've got everything you need right there...restaurants, mall, shopping, housing etc., are all very good in that area.
Perhaps more importantly, both towns have AA populations (though small), so there wouldn't be any hassles around being the "token." Neither community lacks for rental housing, whether it be a family-sized house or duplex or '60s complex. There are even honest-to-goodness high-rises along Route 9 in Framingham.
