Oh no... not this thread again The original post was from August 07, and then suddenly the OP dropped from sight, never to be heard from again. It was fun while it lasted (sort of reminds me of the dude who was going to Alaska with his posse; sort of disappointing when it turned out to be a hoax, even though everybody just KNEW it had to be a hoax. Such is life here on city-data... gotta love it... I agree though, Weston would have been the perfect place for Provincial Man

Oh yes, this thread again. Whether or not Providential Man was for real, it was kind of fun checking out what's available in the area that might meet his needs. Actually, the one thing Weston lacks out of what the OP specified, is much in the way of grand estates that have been around for generations. Not a lot of those anywhere in the Boston area, in fact. Now, when it comes to the more general claim that Weston is "the place to be" if you can afford it, I guess that depends on what you want. Weston is not high on the "walkability" factor a lot of people seem to be looking for these days.

Thank you all. This was better than television (except Lost, you all are not THAT entertaining).

This was an interesting exercise. It was surprising how difficult it was to fit his needs. He/She should buy John Henry's house in Brookline if he hasn't torn it down already.

I told him the same thing in post #45 of the thread.

Since we never heard from the poster again, if nobody objects, I think I will close it now...
