We are moving to South Natick and I am having trouble finding a daycare in Natick center so now I am looking for one near Wellesley Center (where I could catch the commuter rail). Does anyone know of a good one?

I teach CPR to a lot of the daycares in that area--may I ask if you'd be open to a home-based (but licensed) daycare, or would you prefer one in a commercial building?

I might be open to a home based daycare but my daughter is almost 3 so I feel like she might be better in a center environment.

There's The Tobin School in South Natick, Tir Na Nog in Natick Center and the UCC church also runs a preschool in Natick Center with part-time hours.

In Wellesley Square the only one I know is Wellesley Montessori.

My highest recommendation for you would be the Wellesley Community Children's Center. It's awesome; a center, but like a home. Not sterile. Clean, professional and an amazing, year round staff. Check it out, and tell them Heather from CPR Services says hello!

Isn't that hard to get into if you've missed the enrollment cycle? Don't they give priority (2/3 of the seats) to professors, students, and staff with children at Wellesley College or Babson College? Then the other 1/3 of the seats go to townspeople?

That's true for most daycares in the area, regardless of whether they have reserved spots for professors or not. The 2 I mentioned in Natick were both full when I inquired for my daughter, but the waiting list was short (only a couple months out). There's another preschool in Natick called FACE which has a 2-year wait list last time I checked. The director told me to put my name down once my next child was born in order to ensure a spot when he/she turns 2y9m.

For the past couple of years, I tried to enroll my kid in WCCC for two years, always first in the line, never got a chance for a full time spot, because other people had priorities, either parents working in affiliated programs, or has siblings there, or moved from part time to full time... you may check if the situation changed now.

Also check out Wellesley co-op (which is in South Natick) and Wellesley Hills Children's Center. You're likely to be on a waiting list anywhere, but good idea to start looking now for the fall.
