Uh, from the very first paragraph:

"Some of the most popular neighborhoods for New England Law students are Allston/Brighton, the Back Bay, Beacon Hill, Brookline, Fenway/Kenmore, the North End, and the South End."

Though I agree with everyone else that you will need to increase your budget and/or adjust your expectations, and frankly, you will probably need to do both. You might want to check out the listings in these neighborhoods on CraigsList so you can get a sense of what the housing stock is like.

Good advice. Also, if the OP plans to transfer to Boston College, it would be easier to choose a neighborhood convenient to both schools.

Wouldn't admittance to BC as a transfer be based on the OP's performance at NESL?

They mentioned that it was dependent on better LSAT scores. I don't think I'd want to have to move twice.

Law school may be different than other graduate programs, but I'd be very surprised if that was the case, that's all I'm saying.

Almost witty. I can google Boston neighborhoods and get as much.

No. I'm taking the LSAT again in June. Therefore, if the score is good enough, I won't be going to NESL at all. As said previously, and yet again, I have spoken to the school and they said the only thing they need to approve me is a slightly higher LSAT score which should happen in June. If not, I will transfer at the end of my first year. I am a great student, so doing well in the class won't be a problem. Also the two schools are 8 miles away from each other, and my current roommate will be going to NESL for sure, so I don't think moving twice will have to happen. Any other off topic questions?

Yea, I would hate to have to move twice in such a small amount of time. Hopefully, we can find a place somewhere in the middle of the two locations.

Regarding the school's website, I don't know how much hand-holding you expected it provide? Do you want them to publicly list the street addresses of students? How is narrowing it down by neighborhood un-helpful, exactly?
