I am wanting to move to Millbury and I'd like to know if there is any miracle way I could find a house with a yard to rent for my family which includes one daughter. Where would she go to school as she is going into 6th grade? My budget is really limited. Thats my life and unfortunate and sad. $1000 is really limit. Daughter is very much wanting us to live in a house as opposed to an apartment because house kids get treated differently. please help!
Why is it not possible? Are there no houses? Are the houses all so expensive that no one can rent at what I can afford? Is it the taxes? What is the problem?
I'm not sure where you live now but housing in Massachusetts is expensive. I think you'd have a hard time finding a 2 BR apartment at that price let alone a single family house.
I know it is expensive, I have been looking. I am asking if anyone knows of any possibilities. I am putting it out there hoping by some chance someone somewhere knows something. I find it hard to believe there is not some situation available.
You have to figure the property taxes and a modest reserve for maintenance are going to cost the landlord at least $400 per month on a small house in Millbury. That means he's netting $600 per month on your hypothetical $1000 rent. That's not going to happen. Millbury is a desirable area for commuting so rents are going to be higher.
I think you could find a multi-family rental around your price in Millbury, Grafton, Sutton or one of the towns nearby. Kind of like living in house at least.
What is wrong w/ netting $600? Break it down more for me. How greedy do people have to be? I will look at HotPads. TY. Will look @ example in Grafton. Want to stay in Millbury cause don't want to fight the snow for family member that lives in 55+.
The picture of the place in Grafton was pretty bad. My daughter really wants to be treated better than she has been so far. We have always rented apartments and the like and a house in a neighborhood elicits a little better treatment.
