Has anybody here seen this site:

FloodTools.com - Map My Risk

You can punch in an address and it estimates your risk of flooding. I am looking at relocation possibilities in the Pioneer Valley. Hatfield has areas that show moderate to high risk which makes sense because it is so flat and not a whole lot higher in elevation compared to the CT River. That is understandable. However, most parts of Easthampton show a moderate flood risk even though they don't seem that low relative to waterways. Contrast that to parts of Hadley that have elevations which are only a few feet higher than historical CT River flood records, yet show a low flood risk here.

Huh, this is interesting, thanks for sharing it. I'll have to show it to my insurance guy and see what he thinks of its accuracy.

Oh yes, I would certainly be interested on his take. Thanks!

Hopefully, your insurance guy won't jack up your premiums after he checks out that site!

Ha, I meant my insurance guy through work (my brokerage has in-house mortgage and insurance). I don't actually use him for my insurance

I sent it to him, will let you know when I hear back.
