Do you prefer the Berkshire hills or Cape Cod? or closer to Boston? What is your favorite part of the Bay State?

I'm always amazed that such a small state with so many people still offers vast areas of unspoiled beauty. I haven't lived there for 40 years, so it's nice to go back through the beautiful photos.

Thanks for the compliments. I wanted to share that pretty much every part of the state is beautiful with a wide range of things to enjoy. Before jumping at the poll and answering the places with the most noteriety such as Boston or Cape Cod, remember there is the bucolic and rugged character of the Berkshires, the Bohemian vibe of Northampton, and historic fishing enclaves of New Bedford.

My vote went to the North Shore. It is sort of like a microcosm of the whole Commonwealth. It has sandy barrier island beaches (Plum Island) that remind me of Cape Cod, rocky shores and fishing villages that could pose as Maine (Cape Anne/Rockport), Historic and industrial cities with a manufacturing past (Lynn, Peabody), bucolic semi-rural towns with hills, dense woodlands, and salt marsh (Newbury, Rowley, Ipswich), and it's own notable historic places known around the world like Salem & Marblehead with it's storied past in the witch hysteria and once thriving colonial seaports. I live in Essex County and sometimes I feel like I'm on vacation in my own backyard.

I could not narrow it down because there are so many beautiful and different parts for all different reasons so I just enjoyed the pics without voting.
