Vehicle not showing up on Mass RMV website (Lowell: vehicle registration, insurance)

Hi,


My vehicle registration is due for renewal this month. The registration decal reads 20 and I think it is supposed to expire this month. My inspection sticker expires next month (08 on the windshield).



The problem is, I don't remember receiving the registration renewal in mail. I can't find a payment from my bank so presumably I never mailed a renewal either. And worse, I can't find the existing registration. I always keep it in the glove box but it is not there - and I have no memory of taking it out.


When I go to RMV website there is only one path they have to renew online. It asks me for my details and then tells me there are NO vehicles registered under my name.


If I try "lost registration," it is the same story. The local RMV in Lowell is closed so I can't go there in person. If I try to make an appointment at another RMV office, it asks me to choose a task. When I select registration renewal, it blocks me saying that I must do this online.


I am at my wits end and don't know what to do. Anyone faced anything like this before?


I have made an appointment at the AAA office next month to see if they can help. My guess is that they will say there is nothing they can do.

Do you have an insurance agent? I would call their office.

I don't have a local agent. But I will try calling Geico.

Just make an appointment for a new vehicle registration and bring your title. I finally made one to get title/plate for my boat trailer. It was a 2 week wait. I haven’t tried the Registry but the environmental police for boats answered the phone and were helpful back in May. I’d try that.

I made an appointment in two weeks' time. Also my insurance cannot renew registration but they told me that it expires on Sep 30 so I have a couple of months.

My inspection sticker expires next month though. And they won't give me a new one until I show them the registration. Hopefully in two weeks, I will be able to get a new registration and get an inspection sticker after that.
