If Warren was picked by Biden wouldn't that mean that Baker would choose the temporary replacement? With number quite tight in the senate why take the risk?

You may wish he's yesterday's news, but I assure you, until the party pivots away from him and his rhetoric he is very much relevant. Diehl's history makes him DOA regardless of whether Trump is or isn't president.

Additionally, I think it's rather ignorant to say the Dems are solely Trump opposition right now. Perhaps for some independents this is true, but the base is very much hyped on environmental/energy issues, public health, police reform, and now the judicial courts.

You are right. That's how Scott Brown got his foot in the door.

I actually think that Baker has a better chance of getting a cabinet position than Warren.

I thought the State House changed it so that they had to approve. This back when Kerry was running for President.

I don't watch debates or speeches. I just care about two words. Voting Record.

Warren isn't always to the left (especially on foreign policy) then you might think. If it isn't what they actually voted for well its just hot air.

I'm independent. If I like a candidate it does not mean I'm a member of their party but rather the issues they brought up and voting makes sense.
Some people are tired of Massachusetts being used as a doormat.

I don't see such a provision stating that. In fact, I see some articles discussing this very topic back this spring when Warren was briefly considered a VP candidate. It could very well be but I haven't found wording for it yet.

I don't follow. Republican governor. 48-ish Democrat Senators with a slight chance of winning two Georgia runoff elections in January. There is 0% chance Elizabeth Warren leaves the Senate for something like Treasury Secretary.

Also who would this please? Warren isn't particularly liked but the liberals or the moderates.

"might". I agree, from a strategy standpoint it makes near zero sense ... playing along so I could make my more partisan complaint.
