I have a small family due to the wider phenomenon of declining birth rates. Our normal pre-pandemic tradition is a gathering of six people at my house: two singles and one household of four. I am one of the two singles.

This year the other single person who is in her sixties has opted out so the gathering will be five of us.

Are they local or would be coming from a higher risk (positivity rate, mask usage) state?

Every year some family has come to visit (usually 4 to 6 visitors) but this year will only be local family. Myself, my SIL, my niece (SIL's daughter) her husband and their 2 year old at her house. So 4 adults and one 2 year old. We are planning a big family Thanksgiving for 2021.

Flying down to pickup some family and back to the house in NH. They are staying for two weeks in a couple of the cabins here.
Turkey. venison, Bear stew ,squirrel . Fresh eggs to make cottage cheese pancakes. home smoked bacon..
hope for clear skys to sit outside at the pond with a fire and watch shooting stars in a black sky.
Later at night sit inside and talk about books we have read [ big E. Hemingway fan here ]
The younger will have me later in the week take them on a snowmobile trip ,no Canada this year. bummer.

I've been quarantining for almost almost a week aside from one outdoor photo shoot at work (was never within 15 feet of people and only outside) where I also got tested. Turns out my test was inconclusive so I have to go back next week, but at least there will be next to no one at the college so testing will be super quick and my only contact will be separated by 6 feet and plexiglass.

I'm doing a very small meal with my grandmother, windows down and fans on. We'll both have masks on when we're not eating.

It will just be my husband and I thins yer. We had hoped to have his sons and granddaughter down from Maine but we've decided against it. We never have a huge gathering but we like to have 6-8 total. We also got an invitation to join friends, but we're tryign to do our part to minimize contacts out of the house. My origianl plan was to go ahead and cook the full meal anyway, although with fewerr sidesand no rolls, but since then I've gotten incredibly busy at work and won't have the day before or the day aft off so we've ordered a meal to take away from a local restaurant.
