I am 61, and still plan to send Christmas (holiday?) cards this year...maybe only four or
five of them, mostly to people my age and older.

Anybody my age, older or even much younger still make this a part of their holiday tradition?

I enjoy selecting and sending the cards as well as receiving them in the mailbox, then opening them and then displaying them.

Sometimes I find random older Christmas cards I've received in a random drawer, and that's always a pleasant surprise years later!

Though I assume most people simply throw out the cards at season's end, or maybe just keep the ones with a photo? But some perhaps keep all of 'em over the years as souvenirs? It's too bad, to me at least, that younger adults don't engage in this tradition.

It's good to maintain some traditions in this high-tech world, yes?

I send a few to older relatives and I have already got one all set to go to England. The card to England is to my step grandson--I guess I started a tradition of sending elaborate pop up cards, some that play music. He loves them.

If stamps didn't cost a small fortune maybe more people would send cards, although probably they would still just do it online.

I'm 65. I will send about 50 cards out this year with an illustrated Christmas letter inside. I have winnowed down Christmas to the few things I actually like to do: a tree that we cut in our forest, a festive meal with the immediate family, and the old creche my daughter and I made together out of clay when she was a small child. I go to church, not Midnight Mass anymore, it is too late for me now. And that's about it.

I think it's a considerate and spiritually uplifting gesture and I send cards to select family and friends, and sometimes give them to my co-workers. I really like receiving them as well.

We send them. We also have little kids so it seems like most people take a pic of their kids and send them out. We didn’t send any before we had kids.

My family still sends out a holiday card. We receive quite a few as well and I usually send out a holiday card from my business as well.
