I thought this would be an interesting thread to show the range of homes for sale in your area. What made me think of it though was my current town (Waltham) and the extreme shortage we have of SFH.

Case in point according to Realtor.com there is exactly ONE SFH for sale currently in Waltham that is non-contingent.

At the moment, single family homes in Newburyport are running from $675K to $2,750K. This to me is very expensive. But in the greater scheme of metro Boston, it's pretty normal - certainly some towns are far worse.

Interesting to see the pricing.

This zip code is in East Sandwich which encompasses homes in the highway and waterfront homes. The 1.95m is basically an estate in a neighborhood without beach access.

There is a 3 br 1 bath on the water for 1.6m.

1.95m

There are only four single family homes for sale here in Winchester. One is on a busy road near an upcoming housing development for $950k, one is a tiny 2br house for $850k, one is a nice 3k sqft house on a busy but still desirable road for $1.58m, and one is a gorgeous 5br/4750sqft house in the middle of one of the most desirable parts of town... for $2.5 million.

It must be so nice to have a $2m+ budget: https://www.redfin.com/MA/Winchester.../home/11458090

Westford

Cheapest: $600k 3 bedroom on a main rd, https://www.realtor.com/realestatean...6_M31665-17780

Most Expensive: Two new builds at $1.55 and $1.6, https://www.redfin.com/MA/Westford/6...6/home/8773908

Only 7 SFH for sale currently. Generally livable houses for sale range between $450k - $2.5M, similar to many Eastern MA towns.

arlington. $995K - $2.5m. i'm seriously thinking of looking in lexington for my upgrade - at least if i spend $1.7m there, i'll get a nice house with some character.

this is probably my favorite house on the market in all of belmont/arlington/lexington/winchester. and it's well above my budget. look at that gorgeous kitchen. i absolutely hate the white-on-white-on-white trend.

That is one of my favorite residential neighborhoods in any suburb around Boston. Love it over there, and you can walk to two train stations and a beach on top of being only a few blocks from the center.
