I posted about the Barton Rd. project before when someone was thinking about buying a house close to it.

That was built after WWII I guess as some kind of housing for returning troops and their families.

Always called "The Project", as in "She lives in The Project".

Couldn't care less about it, and all the "lol" in the world won't change that.

What is it used for now...as an affordable housing project that has income limits for folks to be able to live there? Given how high Wellesley's HHI is, I'd be curious to know what they set the income limits at (if there are any). I'm not sure if I'd want to purchase a home near a housing project but at the same time if it is geared more toward elderly, maybe not as big a deal and keeps the stigma of undesirables/crime/drugs out normally associated with low income housing projects.

Well the parking lot looks pretty empty during when the street view was taken, which is strange for a project during the daytime.

No, Wellesley has elderly housing. Barton Rd. still low income as far as I know.

It's true, though some of affluent towns remain competitive - Places like Andover, Hingham, etc.

It's too bad.. In the era I played, some of the best public teams were west of the city, like Acton Boxborough. Now that entire league is a joke.
