My initial observation is that YoY growth post-covid is far less predictable than it once was. Towns near and far, and in all directions saw varying degrees of value increase.

Another notable is that there are now 22 towns in Greater Boston with median home values >$1M. Insane.

I don’t know what the future holds, but with even a slight drop in mortgage rates, it seems demand is back heading into the spring market. And in many cases, it never left.

Does anyone have the full list? It gets cut off after Essex.

Oh cool! For merely 90+% of my net income, I could rent a $3,600 apartment. ~$70k gross used to sound like a decent middle-class place to be. Anyhow it’s still way above supposed poverty-level yet pitifully insufficient to live in this ridiculous state that’s largely still the bleak wasteland of Dunkin Donuts, triple deckers, and NIMBYism that it has always been.

I’m not. There aren’t a ton of palatable alternatives. Pay way too much for housing, pay way too much for rent, move somewhere else to pay slightly less for either of those other options, or be homeless.

Especially for those tied to a good job around here, there will be plenty opting for the first option. It looks like there are some people opting to move, too.
