Rodrigo is certainly easier on the eyes than Kahan, but I think that just might be the reason why I prefer his version more. I've never seen anyone in Vermont who looks like Rodrigo, but you can't swing a dead cat without hitting a long haired, bearded pot-smoker in the Green Mountain State.
Her version is very good, and it sounds like her voice has a bit more range than Kahan, but Kahan IS Vermont. You can almost feel it in the way he sings the song.

My takeaway from your post is that Rodrigo is easier on the eyes than a dead cat.
I'm on a search to find new music that is good. its harder to find because the radio plays the same 12 songs over and over again.
they don't really do vocals and do not have a singer. its hard to keep an audience interested without vocals. but they accomplish this and they are somewhat big.
Theres a ton of great new music being produced. Us old people just have to get curious with how to discover it. I have found creating radio stations of songs i like on Apple music works pretty good. They also have a Discovery playlist based on your weekly listening.
