I'm in the Providence, RI area and considering a job on Washington St (37) in Braintree, MA. Google Maps says about 48 minutes for the drive, which sounds about right, but at usual 95/93 speeds I'm sure it'll be somewhat less.
Here would be my commuting details:
- Leaving PVD about 6:30 AM at latest (would I hit much 95/93 interchange traffic that hour?)
- Coming home to PVD around 4:30 to 5:30 PM (same question)
My main question is that is there a benefit of trying to take back roads to avoid the 95/93 junction? Like using exit 11 on 95 as an entry or exit point and avoid the whole slow down there? Is there a slowdown there at those hours heading to and from PVD? Would using back roads actually be slower? Thanks.
