That's always sad but I'm really into making new friends so maybe the BBQ idea isn't so bad...? I love rodeos- where are they held? I used to work chute crew and did Chute Dogging in San Francisco many years ago. Then I took up golf - much safer! LOL

Oskie Rice Arena and the Kaupakalua Roping Club arena

Oskie Rice is up Olinda Road from Makawao. The next rodeo is from the 5th to the 8th of July. It's a huge event that pretty much everybody Upcountry goes to.

The Kaupakalua arena is in Haiku and the next rodeo is this Sunday, Father's Day.

I think the 5th and 6th will be qualifying runs and free to get in. Might just be families of riders and a few locals. Then on the 7th and 8th the real event starts, with food stands, shops, etc, and you'll have to pay. Not sure though

And the Father's day one will be free. The only people there will be rodeo families and me

No bleachers, you can sit right on the grass by the arena
