Book the trip through Expeditions (
Aloha and Welcome to Expeditions ) and you won't have to worry about "legit." They run the ferry service to Lana'i and do this multiple times every day. The other sites are probably fine; there are a lot of booking and concierge services on-island. But Expeditions is the source, so just go there.
I haven't done the ferry/golf thing lately, but sometimes there is a surcharge for the bus to the course and back to the dock. You might want to ask. You might also want to take a later ferry back and spend some time at the Manele Bay hotel pool bar (or wandering around the gardens there) or down below on Hulupo'e Beach, one of the best in Maui County.
