Maybe I just missed it but how come no one in the news media, who actually covers the stories of looting, shoplifting and vandalism, ever talks to people from the insurance companies?
They didn't talk about the impact on insurance companies and costs when businesses were being burned down, trashed, defaced and looted and they aren't talking about it now when California has decided not to pursue shoplifting under $950. It just seems to me the insurance companies would be feeling the brunt in addition to the store owner whose insurance costs will surely rise and be passed on to the consumer. Also, the insurance companies should have better statistics.
It could be the business news channels talk about it but then why don't the cable news people on the non-business news channels ever cite insurance company statistics to add meat to their stories?

They don`t ask the insurance companies how much our gun mania is costing them either. Your point is what other than whining about Black people?

Gee, the vast majority of those filmed looting, shoplifting & vandalizing are "Black people."
I guess stating the obvious is "whining" in your distorted world.

Of course the people filming are Black people. Gotta get content for the family album.

OP never mentioned race. In fact YOU are the first to bring up skin color. Apparently you automatically relate looting, shoplifting and vandalism with one race. That is on you.

You must have had a brain fart. I'm criticizing the media for not talking to all sides involved, the most obvious one, the insurance companies who most likely are paying through the nose and have the statistics. However, the business news channel may be doing it. I just don't know.
Oh yeah, one more thing, the last time I checked Antifa, looks mostly white and the gun violence doesn't.

Blacks being shot by white policeman are the only ones whining, protesting, being reported and collecting big $$$. Yet statistically more whites are killed,
Insurance companies then pass on the costs to customers. Here is the catch, it disproportionately falls on businesses in riot areas. The minority areas will be harder to rebuild as small businesses lose profits to pay for higher insurance costs.
Good job Antifa at hurting small businesses in minority areas.

My friend who works in a small boutique store, said that insurance does not cover 100% of the losses. And some things looted are irreplacable, have sentimental value, etc. It also causes people not to want to shop where there is crime happening. So everyone loses.
