Walnut Hill

Cordova, TN, 38018

The Bridges at Germantown

The Orleans at Walnut Grove,

Would appreciate your advice.

You might want to also consider the Westbury apartments on Winchester near Forrest Hill Irene. I live there and it very nice. There are a fair number of Indian residents there as well.

Default Reviews abt Fieldston Apt

Hello,

Welcome to Memphis! I live in Fieldstone and I am from India too, its been 5 months now. I visited lots of nearby apartment complexes before moving. So far no issues with Fieldstone, pretty safe. Nice access to Indian restaurants and grocery stores. Few of my friends are living in Collierville and going gud for them too.

The 3 other apts you mentioned are pretty good too, but beware of the Germantown parkway road, it can get very congested in peak hours.

I don't know about the Indian community, but I think all of those are okay areas. I would be least fond of the Orleans one, it looks like it's pretty far out but not near any major streets/interstates so the commute around the area could be fairly long. Depends on where you will be working. I posted on another thread last week, if you rent in the SE part of the city, just stay east of the Hickory Hill area (around Winchester/Riverdale). But it sounds like you are aware of that.

Thank you all for your responses. Really appreciate it. Yes The Orleans was last on my list because of access issues. I will be working in Germantown. I liked Fieldstone>Walnut Hill>The Bridges>Orleans. When you read apartment ratings there are extreme opinions on all apartments. So really gets confusing. So thats why I need your help. I hope these apratments are kid/family friendly too.
@pappy35 - will definetely check out your suggestions.
Anyone else too - please let me know your thoughts.

Thanks a ton.

You'll have kids with you? Then you need to base your decision on school districts. If one of those complexes for sure is in Germantown, then you'll be in Germantown's school district and that is where I would pick, hands down. I would not pick anything in the Cordova or Memphis area over Germantown, if you are picking between places that are all basically east of the city.

@ChristenS do you have any top 3 preferable apartments. Your insight as senior member will be really valuable.

Honestly I don't know much about apartments here. I can give an opinion on the location of the city. But as for the actual apartment, how it is managed, the noise factor, the price, cleanliness, the residents - I have no idea. Have you looked at renting a house instead? There should be tons of houses for rent in Cordova especially.
