I am in north Shelby county.

We have 12 inches of snow in our field.
And the road is still solid ice!

Nice photo...and what a lovely gate.

Memphis, I wish you could of sent more of that snow up this way to Nashville. We got a trace, but areas to the south of us got anywhere from 4 to 12 inches. I think the storm stopped west of Nashville and made a right turn south and just grazed us. I have been looking at web cameras down that way and Memphis sure looks pretty with the snow. Hope everyone did okay in Memphis traveling and didn't have any problems.

Not too bad getting around considering it is impractical to have snow plows in an area where this happens so seldom. The roads I drove on today were mostly clear with ice and slush in areas still shaded by trees and tall buildings. Not too bad overall though, just like a rainy day.

Isnt it ironic... we barely got any snow here in northeast Tennessee... the higher elevations in the mountains got some, but here where I live @1500 ft elevation, we got a light dusting at most. Its all gone now. Sunday up here was mostly a rain/sleet event.

Whats even more ironic and unusual is that you folks in Memphis and west Tennessee got more snow with this system than we have had ALL winter up here in the NE Tennessee hills .

I heard on the news that this was our largest snowfall since 1968! I remember that one...I was a freshman at Memphis State....
