I'm looking for a few good places to go skiing/snowboarding but not sure. I'm considering going with friends and my girl.

I've been to Aspen,Co, Canada and Hidden Valley in Wildwood, MO. Looking for something different! Hidden Valley Ski Resort in Hidden Valley, PA is looking good but looking at different locations too!

I have been to Colorado and then to the Sugar/Beach Mtn area of NC and also Snowshoe in WV.

Colorado spoiled me! Snowshoe is fine, but when you are at the slopes there you will dream of being out west....

Default Snowboarding in Colorado

My personal favorite mountain is Beaver Creek. They have just about everything you want out of a resort. Plus there are some really affordable places to stay in Avon, Co. The Christie Lodge being my favorite. If you come out make sure you check out www.meetup.com/snowboarders
This group is free and you have access to talk to all of the members who can give you more hints and the group has discounts for some mountains on the site!!!! Come out and enjoy!

I agree, once you have skied the Rockies, everything else is second-rate skiing wise.

Having said that, I have skiied NJ, PA, Vermont, Colorado, Utah, California and Canada. If you are looking for something different, I would suggest Quebec, Canada. It (of course) is a different country, and they speak French, so it is really unique! I have skiied Mont St Anne several times and have enjoyed the skiing. I always stayed in Quebec City and it was gorgeous! It used to also have a very good exchange rate, so your dollars went a long ways. Not sure of the rate now, but it could help save money. Just a thought.
