I am starting to exercise more and I have a few natural medications.
1. Passion Flower
2. Kava Root
3. Advil night time capsules.
I have not tried the Advil yet but I heard it helps. How about passion flower or kava root?
Anything seem to help regarding non-prescription things we can purchase on the shelf? I'm planning to see a doctor by June. Thanks!

be careful with the night time sleep aids. They can do a little damage to your short term memory.

Reason: maybe get checked for sleep apnea.
Drugs are not the solution. Certainly not the ones you list. Before going to sleep, try to:
- Not watch TV or computer with anything exciting at least 1/2 prior to going to bed
- Do something boring
- Have the same routine every day
- If you are not tired and sleepy, don't go to bed
If you want more advice, Consumer Reports has an extensive write-up on that (the March issue, I think).
Try weighted blanket. I have several friends with sleep problems resolved with the blankets.
Weighted blankets use deep pressure stimulation, which is thought to stimulate the production of a mood-boosting hormone (serotonin), reduce the stress hormone (cortisol), and increase levels of melatonin, the hormone that helps you sleep. This may help improve overall sleep quality.
Weighted blankets are safe to use for sleeping throughout the night.
"...people feel calmer and more relaxed under the weight of a weighted blanket"
“a weighted blanket may aid in reducing insomnia through altered tactile inputs, thus may provide an innovative, non-pharmacological approach and complementary tool to improve sleep quality.”
"A study published in the journal Occupational Therapy in Mental Health revealed that participants who used weighted blankets had lower blood pressure, pulse rates and pulse oximetry — all signs of reduced stress levels."
Caution:
A weighted blanket may be unsuitable for people with certain medical conditions, including chronic respiratory or circulatory issues, asthma, low blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, and claustrophobia.
And also don't get caught in the vicious cycle of stressing about not getting enough sleep, cause ironically you'll suffer even more since you can't sleep if you're stressed. Just let it come naturally.
In the last month we've started taking 1/2 of a 25MG Delta 8 Gummie in the evening. You can feel a calming sensation take over and we've been sleeping much better than we have for years.
