It doesn't matter what color you are.... white, brown, black, yellow, blue, wearing a turban... you will be scalded for not having a passport at a border crossing while entering the US from Mexico, but you will get thru just fine so long as you are a US citizen and you respond appropriately with "yes sir/no sir" or "mam". DON"T MOUTH OFF.

My brother in law crossed just last month from Tijuana with just his Texas drivers licence. After about a 5 minute lecture about the importance of having a passport they let us go thru just fine. You may get sent to secondary, but eventually they will let you through. This is my brother in-laws second time doing this (he was here in San Diego last summer too) and I do not believe they keep track, but I may be wrong. If you gotta cross just cross, but get a passport soon to save yourself the headache.

You're barking up the wrong tree. OP might very well be the most well-travelled person on this forum.

What is the fee to return to the USA?

You pay at the beginning of the bridge on the Mexican side a fee of less than 2 dollars.

Is the same when you leave the United States by car are $ 3 and walking are like $ 2. I don't remember the exact fare...

In what part of Mexico do you have to pay to go into Mexico, and cross back into the US? I cross back and forth all the time, and never have to pay.

At least in Texas you must pay to Enter or Exit by any international bridge.

Yup, in Reynosa/McAllen, Piedras Negras/Eagle Pass, and Matamoros/Brownville you have to pay to cross the bridge in either direction. I beleive its like this for all bridge crossings which all happen to be in Texas and its 4 bordering states to the South.

In Tijuana/San Diego its 100% free as it is in Tecate and I beleive Mexicali. Thanks goodness.
