You may already know to do this, but I would advise you to get a "certified" copy of the divorce. That just means getting the divorce papers notarized by the court clerk. You may need to call to get that.

Default obtaining spanish divorce papers

my fiance has lost her spanish divorce papers, in order for us to get married we have to get a copy of them, but she is no longer in touch with her ex husband and cannot remember the name of the madrid law firm that drew up the papers. is there a way to find the papers from a registry or some other public records?
