would like to spend time in mx but need to work remotely, so need good internet service. have kids, so need safe area where they can enjoy some immersion. we would like a somewhat small (easy to navigate) city/town/village, with nice architecture and near a coast, hopefully without tourist trap prices. any ideas?

thanks all!

Mérida. Pleasant colonial city, near the coast of a decent size and relatively safe.

Thank you, I will look at Merida! Do you know where on the spectrum Merida is for rents and if large families are common there? Thanks

My relatives recently purchased a second home in Mérida, and I've visited the area, so I'm a little familiar with it.

I'm not sure I understand your question about whether large families are common in Mérida. Are you asking the question because you're interested in a rental that can accommodate a large family?
