Hello, My daughter is looking to RENT an apartment in OAXACA CITY, Mexico, summer 2021, starting June 4-August 15. She is a HIGH SCHOOL BIOLOGY TEACHER, will be working remotely as a research assistant for Standford University for 8 weeks. She is fluent in Spanish. Any help with apartments would be VERY much appreciated!!THANK YOU!!!

Just look on AirBNB. Many cater to these types of long term vacationers. I was there 2 summers ago. Tons of little guest houses. She can even book a room at a normal hotel for 3 days and search for a place when she gets there. Cash on hand will give her many options.

I stayed at City Express about a 10 minute walk to the Zocalo.

good advice by CYNC. the best options price and location etc are available on the ground there in Oaxaca. With the covid situation and lack of tourism there should be plenty of supply and good prices. ABNB is good way to start and many owners will give a good deal for longer term.



If your daughter gets a chance check out a non profit called OAXACASTREETCHILDREN which is a fantastic group that helps kids get an education.


They have a headquarters near downtown. They may even have a lead on a place to stay.
