I looked up comparable murder rates to Reynosa.
It's still 50% higher here in Chicago.
Even Dominicans know about it, down there locals say; "Ah Chicago...bang bang."!
And what happened in safe Las Vegas that hasn't happened anywhere in Mexico? A 65YO man on the 32nd floor of a hotel, shooting 600 people at an outdoor music festival, 58 of them dead. Years before that, a disgruntled fired casino worker, started shooting to the NYNY hotel, but, luckily, a Navy Seal was nearby and wrestled him to the ground.
Hah! You can't post it in Chicago, they lock it up and probably ban anyone posting crime stats. They literally seem to be tired of debating over it.
In the Mexico forum, however, post away all you want cause you know the mods won't do a thing about it. They might even encourage it because most mods seem to have open disdain for the country and couldn't care less about veiled racism.

We do politics in Chicago section, but no stats allowed.
So, there were 18 murders last holiday weekend; 3 more than the incident in Reynosa.
Every time there's an incident in Mexico, it's blown up by U.S. media; yet there's an uncovered war going on 30 miles away from me.

It's because some people are (bizarrely) fans of media coverage about crime/violence in Mexico.
See above post by Suburban_Guy for example.
