Hi I live in Santa Ana, CA and I hate my nose so I'm looking into rhinoplasty, but most plastic surgeons in SoCal are really expensive and my medical insurance doesn't cover plastic surgery, obviously, so I'm looking into getting the procedure done in Mexico. I'm primarily looking in the Tijuana area, but I'm willing to go as far as Ensenada, Mexicali, or Ciudad Juarez. So does anyone know of a reputable, good plastic surgeon in these areas, again emphasis on the Tijuana-Ensenada area? I've been looking into Dr. Daniel Camacho-Melo and Dr. Francisco Bucio, does anyone have an opinion on either of them? Oh is the Internation Society of Aesthetic Surgeons legitimate?

Please be aware, if you have any post-surgical problems you may have difficulty getting an American doctor to help (other than an emergency, of course). Due to lawsuits, one doctor is very hesitant to take over where another left off. You may have to go back to Mexico for follow-up treatment.

Ask alot of questions of the Dr. Get references from the Dr. from other Americans he/she has operated on. Check and double-check the hospital--which often is a strip mall type place or small house in foreign countries.
I had an operation in Mexico, and the Dr. arranged for my stitches to be taken out by a clinic in Houston which was already added into the Dr.'s bill. See if you can get something like that if you are not staying in Mexico to recuperate.
