9. Miami, Florida
Population: 362,470

Detroit is listed by Children's Health magazine as being the worst place to raise a family, but right behind it is Miami. If a city isn't a good place to raise a family, that likely means its also a terrible place to live. Factors the magazine used to come to its conclusions, included crime and safety, education, economics, housing, cultural attractions, and health.

According to RealtyTrac, Miami has seen close to 40,000 foreclosures, making it one of the most active markets when it comes to people abandoning their homes. Crime is also a problem. Neighborhood Scout reports that Miami has one of the highest crime rates in the country, with a one in twelve chance that a resident will become a victim of a property or violent crime. Making things even worse, the city not only has some of the worst drivers in the country, but it also has some of the worst commuting times.

Some people like these kinds of stats. They feel great knowing they are from a "tough" and badass place.

Those lists are made by whores,"journalists " who get paid to portray dogsh*t as diamonds
& vice versa...

They are so provocatively wrong that they should become a joke...

Those who don't like low 70's in January should leave...

if Miami is such a sucky city then why has it added roughly 70,000+ people since the last census in 2000? As for crime I see New Orleans didn't make the list yet their murder rate is almost triple that of Miami's.
Foreclosures? I guess if you are going through one it isn't great other than that aren't there cities with higher rates? These lists are so full of it!

Peoples attitudes aside i feel the CITY of miami is a great city but its stats are skewed because of its immediate surrounding areas such as little havanna and overtown but once they (if they ever are) gentrified miami will look much better stat wise.. as for miami dade it is disgusting and will prob get worse before it gets better.

As an "outsider" I have to say this is a ridiculous thread by the OP.

First, that list is a JOKE....Newark, NJ is No. 8 and Miami is No. 9. Population in Newark, falling for years. Miami...growing = people vote with their feet. Miami would easily be in my top 5 places in the U.S. to live. Newark = bottom 5.

Second, the OP appears to have an agenda. Only three posts/threads created. One was about a shooting on I-95. The third was a thread in Orlando the moderator shut down.

To the OP: If you think Miami stinks why don't you just leave it be and get on with your life? Or is Miami like that girlfriend you could just never get over? You can't live with her or without her........
