Google Maps- There is a nice riverfront and bayfront walk you can utilize plus beautiful Bayside and Bicentennial Park in the Downtown Miami area.

From the reviews I have read on it before... BRUTAL.

What date are you looking for? Off season is full of good deals at good hotels.

Yeah, it looks like it's a crappy hotel. The location is excellent though.

I'd give this hotel 2 stars , if you need only a place to sleep. This hotel is located at walkable distance from Bayside, American Airlines Arena , a 20 dollar taxi ride to South Beach $6 to Mary Brickell Village, $18 to Coconut grove.
Located acroos from the Intercontinental Hotel one of the best hotels on Bayside area.

The link that you posted is almost two miles south of where the OP would be staying.

This is the actual hotel. 146 biscayne boulevard miami fl 33132 - Google Maps

Click on the picture to the left to see the actual street level view of the hotel.

All that said, I'd be tempted to stay there out of pure intrigue alone -- at least for a night or two! I have always liked older hotels.

Ok, so let us disambiguate here: The OP posted for info about the Continental downtown Bayside hotel. However, there exists "The Bayside Continental Hotel" as well as the "Inter*Continental Hotel". Since the OP explicitly mentions the term "Bayside" I think the first option is the most probable. I think he was referring to the "Bayside Continental Hotel.

You're right my bad, I thought 52 dollars a night seemed cheap for the Intercontinental and I didn't realize that was a hotel there at 146 Biscayne, I thought it was an office building. My apologies to the OP and Reptoid.

This thread confused me at first since I didn't know there were two hotels downtown with the name "Continental" and the bad reviews! I was thinking of the InterContinental right on the bay and I have attended conferences in their ballrooms and it is quite luxurious.
