We are moving to FL and came across a house around Three Lakes. Is the area family friendly? And how are the schools in that area? Thanks!

Is it actually in Three Lakes? Good development, not zoned to a good high school though (though Coral Reef High, which is a magnet, is nearby). Don't know much about the elementary/middle schools.

Three Lakes is a nice area, my only concern about the area would be traffic during rush hour.

I live near three lakes in Country Walk and I love the area. Near major roads, the Turnpike, 874. The traffic isn't as bad as people make it out to be but again I was raised in Miami and kind of used to it. They have two schools inside Country Walk for prek and elementary which have been A schools for the past few years. It's called Jack D. Gordon. Three Lakes is REALLY nice! The lake is huge and I believe they allow motor boats and everything. Seems to be very family friendly. Zoo Miami is a few minutes away along with some restaurants like Ruby Tuesday. The only thing I would say is that it is about 5-10 minutes away from somewhat of a bad neighborhood but you can drive through it without a problem to get to US-1 which has it all! Good luck!

I second that. I think that area (east of 137 ave) gets the high school in cutler Rigde(can't remember the name, south Rigde?). Not a good school.

If schools are a concern You are better off west of 137 ave and north of 152 st. (Country walk) Further north east of 137 ave, you also get Killian in the Crossings area. The homes are a little pricer though but I've seen homes in country walk being sold for less than $200k.

Thanks everyone! Turns out we were almost scammed. It was supposedly up for rent but really not.
