Anybody know a good seafood market or a place to buy fish straight off the boat? I am talking a place where the market is what its all about, not a restaurant. Preferably where local lower income hispanics buy their fish, not some overpriced joint in aventura. I am loooking for a reasonable priced place to get my next fix.

Thanks

There is a place on SW 8 ST, just east of the Palmetto called Sonia's. It's on the north side of the street. It's a fish market, restaurant, and bait place all in one. The fish is decent. Another thing you can do is find out what time the party boats come in. Some of the locals give their fish to the mates of the boat as a tip. The mates sell it, and also sell what they fish. There is usually a group of people waiting though. Then there is always Garcia's off of the Miami River. They are good, but pricey. Good luck.

Garcia as posted above and Casablanca in the same location more or less. They take EBT should you be interested in knowing this.
