I'm in Ga and been out of the northeast for quite sometime and I got one family member up there and I got $20,000 a month and I don't know if I should move back up north or go to Miami and I'm afraid that if I choose Miami ( don't know the city) I might miss one of my relatives. Please help me, I'm afraid I might get lost there, plus will i be able to get around downtown
Miami 24 hrs bus without a car like up north? Someone please answer for someone who takes the transit only. Is it easy or not? Cause that what's holding me back

It's not hard to get around Miami (the system is not as good or comprehensive as the NE) with public transit (the whiners will tell you it is and how it's so hot and humid, but in reality they're just lazy) but if you have family that you can be near, I would choose that.

Well from what I heard on the news and weather, the New England area is having a state of emergency whereby 2 million are without power that is one reason people come to Miami, if not other parts of Florida.

Live and work in Brickell and you won't need a car. Signed NY'er sans car.

Pretty much. You could actually live anywhere along the Metrorail corridor and get by without a car. Brickell / Downtown has pretty much everything you would need in terms of amenities. There are also regular buses to Miami Beach, or you could just take a cab.

You can survive in Miami without a car, as long as you both live and work close to the Metrorail. Otherwise, it gets trickier.

(un)luckily for you guys, I wasn't one of those who lost power. We got off pretty lightly here.

In limited locations, yes, but that is the same for the NYC area as well.

Miami is not (and I stress not) NYC when it comes to transportation, but it is a very comprehensive system and one of the best systems in the south.
