HP does not want you to repair the printer.
Just junk it and buy a new one, it will come out cheaper.

Yes I've already purchased another expensive printer. However, I'd like to try and have the other one fixed as it's not that old and was expensive. If you can't tell me anything regarding my original question, why bother responding???

If it's an Ink Jet, the cost of repairing it will be more then it is to purchase a new one.

They're designed to be the ultimate consumer grade electronic product. Most printer repair people won't even touch them. 90% of the problems arise from ink drying in the nozzles. They are so small that it's impossible to clean them, which means the nozzles need to be replaced, and they're not cheap. Add in labor to do so and you're over the $100 mark real easy.

Maybe a "how do you fix a ....." forum should be started on city-data. My Hp stopped working a few days ago, and it lost connection. I had to restart the router and computer, and it worked. Good luck.
