Hi, I'm looking into getting a unit at 900 Biscayne or Marquis residences.

900 Biscayne
I've been researching and found a few negative reviews about the building. I know that the pool is closed for construction, and the exterior of the building is being remodeled as well. A reviewer says that the building has structual problems, pool has been closed for more than a year, elevator problems and septic issue. However I dont know if this is true or not.

Marquis residences
I haven't found any issues publicly, so I'd like to know if theres any problems as well.

I would like to find out more info on these buildings to help me determine which one i should buy.

Could anyone who have lived or are living in these buildings share your experiences with the building and management?

Thanks

Marquis is a more luxurious building compared to 900 Biscayne.

Have you considered any other buildings, though? There are, IMO, even better ones than Marquis.

Default Marquis resident

I live in the Marquis residences. It's a great building been here a year. I am an owner. The building is just about to sell out. Their are very few units for sale. Some residents have been called asking if they want to sell because the building is hot. Lots of celebrities live here. The staff is great. The valets are nice. Everyone leaves you alone. Lots of dogs. Building about to turnover from developer. There are a few minor issues but I expect them to be fixed by developer as he owns the hotel and doesn't want residence to complain or hurt his business there.

I'm trying to get something by downtown Miami, so I suppose those are the 2 main buildings?
I thought 900 was more luxurious because of their price per sqft.

Thanks for the input, what are the few minor issues though?

Uhhh, no.

There's a lot more than two residential buildings in Downtown. I also suggest looking at Brickell. Try this site:

Downtown: Miami Downtown Condos For Sale

Brickell: Brickell Condos For Sale

River condos (some are located Downtown, others in Brickell. I don't know why this is a separate category, the only thing I can think is it's done that way for people who want to live near the river)

Thanks, I pretty much narrowed it down to downtown and those 2 buildings mentioned.

Any reason you need downtown? Personally Brickell is a better location and the Icon is a building which should not be left out in the hunt unless you already checked it out of course.

With the museum park getting built right in front of these buildings it would only be a matter of time developers start building amenities and entertainment to capture the museum and performance arts crowds. Plus the ocean view units are alot cheaper compared to ones in brickell
