Wish to report that this morning I took the 119 to Gvt Center and found it a smooth, pleasant, quick ride. Courteous driver, and passengers. Those of us who felt that criminals are probably still sleeping at that hour...seem to be on to something. The crowd consisted on the bus and the Metromover, of an wide assortment of medical workers (from what appeared to be a dr next to me to nurses and orderlies judging from the clothing); several hotel industry people, a couple of banking types, a few students and a very large number of construction workers on the Metromover...if you have been to Brickell lately, you know why....All in all a pleasant experience. May still try the L to Hialeah station one day coz I need to walk less to catch it and the time frame seems the same, at least on the schedule sheet! Thank you again all for your input. I really appreciated all the information shared.

^ We told you so! Glad to see that your experience was a pleasant one and not one that you feared! I used to take Metrorail everyday from Hialeah to Dadeland North and never had any problems regarding safety. Was the train crowded because mine always were especially near downtown.
PS: We need Metrorail to expand!

I actually took the 119 then the Metromover this time. It was comfortably crowded. I think at that hour it is busy but not overwhelmingly so.
I take all forms of public transportation between say 7am and 8 pm and feel very at ease...my concern was the time of day. I did not realize so many were off to work and school so early! LOL My schedules have always started with travels around 7am!
It was very good.
I too would love Metrorail to expand and that Baylink to the beach.
Another thing that seems to work very well is the
Brickell Trolley! Next time I have some free time I am going to wander around on that for a bit!

Public transit is fairly popular for people who work at the Jackson Health Complex which is of course full of doctors and nurses who usually start shifts at early hours of the morning.

Glad to hear it went well.
