geico gave me the cheapest quote of $118 on a 2004 bmw M3 with 50/100/100 coverage with progressive at $140. I've yet to switch from nationwide which goes to $268 when I claim FL residency!!!

Just for fun I went to geico.com to get a quote. They quoted me something over $4.000 for six months?!

That's not true at all.. I've had Geico for years and that never happened..

Even if it were true, why wouldn't you take the teaser rate and then switch ? It's not like you are signing a 3 year contract or something.

I agree with spyder. I have been with Geico for 20 years because whenever I've looked around at other policies, Geico was cheaper by far. We pay $1200 a year for 2 cars, one luxury, one mid-range with comp and collision 100/300, AND a teenage driver.

I got State Farm, and got a good deal because I got a property insured with them since 1987, and other types of services with them, so as a package it works well for me... Geico seems to be fairly priced as well...

Thanks all!
if you want the best price you have to shop around and compare. i personally have Allstate, never had a problem with them. as far as appointments go you don't need one just walk in
if u really want to save money these are things you can do to lower your premium:
increase your deductible
multiple cars in the policy
good driver(no Tickets,points)
If you are a good student, you get a discount
homeowners get a discount

good luck, hope i helped
