My goodness lmao , don't know if a mega mall is necessary for a big city with as many major malls as Miami , perhaps broward county would be a better location

Miami has enough malls. That mega monster will become a ghost mall.

It's Miami, that's what people do here they go to the malls,I don't think you can have enough malls here.I'm a theme park person so I'm all for something like this. This location is like 3 minutes south of Broward county so it's pretty centrally located to most of South Florida and it's right on the turnpike and 75 so the location is pretty good.

The site doesn't seem large enough for the largest mall in the nation. If you look at a Google map of Aventura mall, and imagine something twice the size of that on the proposed plot, it doesn't look right.
You'd need a parking area at least as large as the enclosed part, if not more, and it may even need it's own access roads from the turnpike. Seems like the developers picked the right name, because this may just be a dream.

Indeed, it's more than just a mall, it's a combination theme park/water park/mall, and in fact it is closer to southern Broward County than to mid Miami-Dade County, and in any case accessible via two major highways.

In essence, it would be local competition to Orlando or at least LEGOLAND in Winter Haven: the nearest other decent-sized water park in southern Florida is in Riviera Beach.

However, there are also plans for a similar large theme park near the Miami Zoo.

While I'm not sure that we need two large theme parks in the county, albeit on opposite sides, there would certainly be demand for at least one.

I think it looks pretty amazing. It's more than just another mall. It's a destination. It's a place you could spend the day with your family, not just shopping, but having fun. I'm into it. I think it's a great idea. My only concern is how will they handle the traffic? Miami's western suburbs are notoriously bad when it comes to traffic congestion.

I wouldn't call the plans for this mall or Miami Wilds at the zoo large theme parks or real competition to anything in Central Florida but they are things badly needed in South Florida.Miami Wilds will be a medium sized theme park with a small water park and hotel while this new mall will have an even smaller water park, probably a few carnival style rides and a few other attractions such as the submarines. The Legoland thing will probably not be more than a store with a few Lego structures around it,I've been to Legoland in Winter Haven and that's a true theme park with water park and a new hotel going in.I really like the proposed ski run as we're in Florida so anything like that will be very unique, there are however plans for a mega resort in Kissimmee that will also include a ski/snowboarding mountain along with every other X Games style sports,it will have an indoor/ outdoor skate park,a BMX track, two skydiving pods for simulated skydiving,an indoor dodgeball trampoline arena, water slides, challenge courses, rock climbing and zip lines. This mall will definitely fill a need but I don't see it as true competition to the major theme parks, the rides will be like what you see at Fun Spot USA on I Drive which has grown by adding coasters and other rides but its still no competition to Disney or Universal,on a Tuesday day when the other parks are full a park like this is empty, its more of a local weekend hangout.

I agree, the last thing Miami needs is another mall. Who's gonna have the money to go there? Its location is all the way up in BFE.

There are too many planned/upcoming malls and shopping centers in Miami:
this mall
the mall in downtown
the mall in brickell
the tacky hairpin thing
