I recently got a new job and I plan on moving to Miami from Broward County. I want to be near the DT/Brickell area, but I can't afford those crazy rental prices in the heart of the city. And I'm not interested in a roommate.

The Edgewater/Wynwood area is just north of the downtown and is only a 5 minute drive. It is also right by the Wynwood art studios and district. Can anyone recommend a good appartment building to rent in this area?

My budget is no more than $1150.

Any luck on the apartment?

Wynwood is getting crazy. I think it's going to get harder and harder to get cheap rents there in the future. It is getting so trendy! If I could swing it at the moment, I would buy some property there. Getting to be a pretty fun area. Was just hanging out there last night, and it is AMAZING the difference from just a few years ago.
