I am planning to move from West Palm Beach to Miami with my wife and 15 months old son. My job location will be "Biscayne Boulevard - 33137".
We are Asian Indian family, looking for a house on rent. Please suggest me safe places to stay, I would need a very family friendly neighborhood. 30 - 45 min drive from job location is fine.

Its for my wife and son, but any Asian Indian community in South Florida where few married Asian Indian with kids so that my wife and son can have some company and I was wodnering if anyone can give an input about play groups/pre schools/kinder gardens.

Thanks!

My sympathy for having to move to Miami. Good luck. I would look at one of those high rise buildings downtown with good security. Miami is a dangerous place.

Kumar, there's plenty of people who love Miami, and quite a few who hate Miami, but what matters is whether YOUR family will like it. Frankly, 1000 is a pretty low budget for this area, and you're not going to find much at that price range.

There are a bunch of Asian American families living near FIU and Doral, and they seem to be doing fine. A reasonable budget is probably more like $1400.

There are certainly some rough spots to avoid, but Miami is nowhere as insecure as some caribbean cities.

Miami Gardens is one of those places to avoid.
