mt2002, what restaurant will your husband be with? I live in Downtown Miami and would like to know. I love where I live, the area is great for my husband and I. I do agree with many, reference people being rude but that is usually how it is in large cities. As I said in other posts, it is expensive compared to the salaries but it has always been this way, now we just feel it more. Overall, I love to live here & like I told a friend of mine that is always complaining about Miami, I just said "if you are so unhappy here & hate it so much just move". It's very important to live where you feel good. As far as areas, you can also check Key Biscayne, it's very safe and quiet. If you are planning to work North, traffic is not bad in the morning heading that way & in the evening coming South is not bad either. You are going the opposite direction of traffic. Good Luck, I hope you feel happy here, just find an area that you like.
