MMoB:

Cannot compare a CAT 5 ever with a pussycat 1.

I went thru Andrew, my townhome destroyed right by SW 142nd Ave and SW 96th Street...Lived like Gipsies for 1 full year, because I refused to go North to Broward like MOST people did back then.

Had Andrew been a CAT 1, it would have been a walk in the Park.

You live next to Coastal Waters, you pay dearly, even in a TS.

Hopefully, this is the Last Chapter for 2018. It ain't over yet, but surely the possibilities diminish daily from here on out.

(BTW i have a clipping of the Miami Herald published back in July 1993....My address then about 2 mls N of Tamiami Airport, in our Area the sustained winds were between 130 mph to 141 mph. Many had previously stated they thought incorrectly the maximum winds were several miles to the south. (Homestead))

We were swatted like fies in top of a dead carcass.

I think the worst catastrophe would be a another hurricane like the okeechobee hurricane. If the Okeechobee levee fails, I think hundreds of not thousands of people will die.
Yep..Just about the entire human population of Pahokee drowned or disappeared in that one...A few miles North at Port Mayaca there is a Cementary (I stopped there once to see) and all bodies were transported there to a common grave site.

I went through Andrew and experienced zero damage. Andrew was not a wet storm. The storm was very strong but small. I lived in what is called now Pinecrest and I was supposed to evacuate but we didn’t. We got lucky. I lived close to your street 96 st but closer to the ocean around 65 Avenue. Technically speaking, I was in more danger than you but hurricanes do whatever they want.
They call that I believe the luck of the Irish !!!!! People North of Bird Rd no matter how West you checked had NO damage and not even broken limbs in their trees, yet South of Kendall Drive and West off the Tpke Extension ALL the way S to Fla City it was worse than a War Zone and Technically Speaking it stayed like that for a good couple of years.

^^^^

FWIW, there's no need for you to continually repost that map because as you yourself noted in post #44 after you posted it the first time (post #43), it automatically updates it itself when there are storms in the quadrant.

I have no idea what that means (and don't want to know).

By the way...

Quite awhile ago you proclaimed that you were going to put me on your ignore list. Whatever happened to that? I thought that was a great idea. But just like most people who feel the need to state publicly that they are going to ignore someone, they never do. Why not try being one of the few that actually carries through with their "threat"?

And you can start by not replying to this post. No need to even acknowledge that this time you really are going to ignore me. Just do it!
